Cyber space and social sites

I stepped into one of the cyber center as I was away from home and office for a print out. What shocked and surprised me, was the numerous people waiting to use the comp that had internet connections. Most of them were students or school goers.

BRISTOL, UNITED KINGDOM - FEBRUARY 24: School...

With lots of social sites around us today there seems to be a heavy rush to these internet business cyber cafe. Mainly may be as parents do not allow children to use more of these social sites and torment only on studies. This is the reason I heard, I mean, overheard one of the school going boy telling his pal, who was along with him at the cyber point.

How is the internet being used by these youngsters? Is there anything like e-tuition’s or gathering information for some of their projects? When I asked these questions to one of the young assistant at the cyber cafe, he said that all these are students that are seeking reasons to reach out to the social sites where they chat, comment and upload pictures.

Well, I to use some of the social sites to be in touch with friends who are away and settled out of the local town. I think this is a very good technology that has crept in to keep a friendly relationship going even though we are not in the same place or town.

I began something like this. I first signed up a social site and started hunting my friends by their name and location. There are many such members in the social sites but, you need to find the right one you are looking for either by the info provided by a friend or a picture of your pal or maybe the way to find a friend could depend on the school name, company they work for or have worked earlier. Finally, by using the above mentioned criteria I could locate a friend who was at school with me. Since, then I have been regular in searching out friends on these social sites by which we can have a good forgotten relationship rekindled.

Today I have many friends in these social sites and we do enjoy information shared between us even though, we are miles away. Many of my friends update their best pictures and share comment on them. Some of the friends share games where they would need you to accompany them on these social sites. What a best time one can afford. We get to know each others activities and events. Where my friends are partying? Where are they for vacation? Isn’t it really being in touch with all your friends?

Well, I have been enjoying these social sites as this provides a neat and clean platform for our interaction. However, I cannot control that these sites are being used by some friends who meet up every day and share a good time partying and still post comments on each other. These are the sites that can be used for many good reasons.

Let me come back to where I started. The youngsters who throng around these social sites are to be bench marked for use of these social sites. There are many such youngsters who are so involved in these social sites that they tend to be no more interested in their academic learning.

It all depends on the usage of one’s availability but, as we say anything and everything above limits could be dangerous. So I wish all of you to make best use of these social sites and yes, do not forget, what are the important aspects of our everyday living?

This might not be the largest Country in the World, but I think it is the most sophisticated. One way you can measure the growth of somewhere is the measure it’s arts. There is little doubt that this place exceeds other places away. I wouldn’t want to die there, but a year or three would be pretty sweet.

Perro FeoAllu85 is right however I think there was some truth in Dave’s sostlimpic comments about the Argentine economy. Dave isn’t an economist. a political scientist or an historian so his comments were innocent like those of a child. Sometimes children really get the point in a very clear way. There is a bad work ethic here and a very poor business climate. It has something to do with cultural values. Spain was a poor country until recently and it has grown in part because of its membership in the European Union. Spain made some changes. Had it gone on as it used to it would not have progressed. Argentina has been resisting globalization, preferring to blame everybody else but themselves for their problems. It’s true that the leaders are completely corrupt but why have the people allowed this for decade after decade. Argentina was always the most literate and educated nation in Latin America, so it was not a question of ignorance. What I have missed in Dave’s comments has been an outsider’s look at the society. I realize he is not a reporter but the setting in Argentina could have been an interesting opportuniy to inform his blog buddies a little about this complicated country that was once one of the world’s richest nations.

That’s known that cash can make people free. But how to act when somebody doesn’t have money? The only one way is to get the mortgage loans and just consolidation loan.

Perro FeoYour analysis of the ecomony is not wrong. The truth is that the work ethic is not good here. The whole system is a mess. Everything works against people who want to be productive. The basic things that work in the US do not work here. It\’s a vicious circle. I don\’t think, though, that you have made much effort to understand this society. BA is a lot bogger than run down and dreary Congreso. The country is bigger than Buenos Aires. You haven\’t made any effort to see the fantastic natural wonders of this country like Iguazu Falls, the glaciers, Patagonia etc. I don\’t think you\’ve even been to the suburbs or outlying areas of the city. For someone who talks about breaking the illusion and being open to new experiences, you seem to have been pretty closed to learning about this country. Did you know that Argentina at the end of WWII was one of the ten richest countries in the world? You should have taken more time to explore this country, its people and history. I\’ve read all your blogs. I think you\’re an interesting, nice person with good values but you have disappointed me with your indifferece toward learning more. You made up your mind at the beginning of the trip that you weren\’t happy and from that point on you were basically negative about everything. Too bad you found a place in Congreso. The neighborhood sucks and would depress anyone.

JonathanNice to meet another 80 year old man traeppd in a twenty-something year old body, who likes simple things and doesn’t drink. There’s too few of us in the world. lol Kinda hard to meet people on the same beat. I think we would have fun hanging out together. But we will never know for sure, will we!By the way, what do you think of the James Redfield books (the celestine prophecy)? It did kinda open my eyes to new ideas about decade ago but it kinda sound funny to me now. A little superficial and on the verge of fantasy. Also, if you can read french, I have some suggestions for you.Take care Davey!
